- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Muscle fatigue, assessed as percent decrease in maximum torque during 20 repetitions of continuous voluntary isokinetic plantar flexions in an angular velocity of 60 deg/s
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - maximum voluntary torque (MVC) at the first contraction of the fatigue test
- 31P-MRS at rest: levels of phosphocreatine (PCr), inorganic phosphate (Pi) and ATP in soleus and gastrocnemius medialis muscles
- MRI at rest: volumes of the triceps surae muscles and the quadriceps muscles normalized to body weight and body size
