Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. age 20 years and above
- •2\. body mass index \> 23 kg/m2, without any weight change in 6 months (change \<5%)
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. pregnancy or lactation
- •2\. diagnosis of myocardial infarction within the last 6 months
- •3\. being on medication for chronic diseases e.g., anti\-diabetic, anti\-HT
- •4\. Chronic kidney diseases: GFR \<60 (ml/min/1\.73 m2\)
- •5\. Diagnosis of liver cirrhosis, thyroid dysfunction, cancer of any organs
- •6\. Diagnosis of GI tract diseases that compromises digestion or absorption of nutrients
- •7\. on medication as follow: GLP\-1 RA, SGLT2i, orlistat, TZD, insulin, sulfonylurea, topiramate, antipsychotics, antidepressant, SSRI, Phentermine
- •8\. Drug abuse
- •9\. Diagnosis of schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorder
- •10\. actively participate in other clinical trials
