Inclusion Criteria

1. moderate to severe chronic back pain more than 3 months
2. right-handed patients

Exclusion Criteria

1. history of brain disease or psychiatric disorder
2. Anxiety or depression (HADS<11)
3. hearing impairment (whispered voice test)
4. unable to read or write
5. Undergo surgery or procedures that cause more pain
