There are babies born at full term but have less weight at birth. these babies are at increased risk of iron deficiency. we plan to conduct study to determine if these babies can be given iron prophylaxis earlier in life to decrease this risk

Inclusion Criteria
1.Term babies (>=37wks) with Birth weight less than 10th centile on Intergrowth chart
2.Residing in Delhi/NCR
3.Predominantly/exclusively breast fed
Exclusion Criteria
1.Illness requiring admission in NICU and phlebotomy done
2.Major congenital malformations
3.Hemolytic disease or any other hematological disorder
4.Received blood transfusion or started on iron supplementation prior to 2 weeks
