The group that maintained Remifentanil until extubation exhibited a significant reduction in both the frequency and severity of coughing before extubation compared to the control group. This effect persisted even immediately after extubation, reducing the frequency and severity of coughing. However, there was no significant difference in coughing five minutes after extubation between the two groups.

•Patients aged 19-65 years, classified as ASA physical status I or II, undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery and septoplasty under general anesthesia

排除标准

•Conditions indicating difficult airway management (Mallampati=3), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, severe cardiac, renal, and hepatic diseases
