Inclusion Criteria
- •Use of a cochlear implant, unilateral or bilateral
- •- Age of majority
- •- Attendance at regular appointments during the study period at the hearing centre in Düsseldorf
- •- Good German language skills according to the therapist's assessment
- •- Written informed consent
- •- implantation of the cochlear implant at least 6 weeks ago
Exclusion Criteria
- •- No written consent of the patient
- •- Sign language as mother tongue
- •- Insufficient knowledge of German according to the therapist's assessment
- •- Uncorrectable visual impairment / blindness according to own statements
- •- Illiterate, according to own statements
- •- Known mental illness such as severe depression or dementia
