Inclusion Criteria
Infants who are exclusively breastfed between 1 to 6 months of age
Exclusion Criteria
Those with severe illness at the time of presentation. Those on oral hematinics. Those diagnosed with inborn errors of metaboloism. Those who have received blood transfusion in the past 3 months. Parents not consenting for the study.

- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To correlate serum B12 levels & serum Methylmalonic acid & Homocysteine levels. <br/ ><br>To correlate Mean corpuscular volume & Red cell distribution width with functional B12 deficiency. <br/ ><br>To correlate with mothers B12 status in infants found to have functional B12 deficiency. <br/ ><br>To do the developmental status screening of children between 3-6 months who are found to be B12 deficient by TRIVANDRUM DEVELOPMENT SCREENING TEST.Timepoint: Baseline
