This study investigates the impact of resistance training combined with different protein supplements (whey, pea, and placebo) on the strength, power, and speed of male football players aged 18±1 years. Over 12 weeks, 144 players will follow a structured resistance program while receiving specified supplements.

入选标准

  • Football players of 18±1 years of age who are playing football for at least two years and participate in different competitions will be considered eligible for this study.
  • Football players free from history of recent disease or illness will be included in the study.
  • Physicians will decide after the medical examination.

排除标准

  • Participants will be excluded if they are unwilling to take part in the study, not within the age group of 18±1 years, have a record of illness or disease for at least three months before the research study started.
  • Any medical or surgical conditions that might hinder physical performance, which include evidence of inflammatory joint disease and lower limb pathology, recent spine fractures, a history of lower back surgery, metastatic diseases, anxiety neurosis, and depression, are also eliminated.

Improvement in muscle strength in mmHG, power, speed in m/sec and BMI variables

时间窗: Baseline at 0 week, mid intervention 6 weeks and Post Intervention 12 weeks.
