Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a group of chronic metabolic disorders distinguished by abnormal insulin sensitivity and increased blood glucose concentration. Low levels of medication adherence, psychological problems, and high levels of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio are important factors for detecting developing complications.

Inclusion Criteria

(1) Age over 21 years with a diagnosis of T2DM who has psychological problems; (2) Have unadequate or poor medication compliance; (3) Can read and understand Bahasa Indonesian; (4) Have the ability to write messages on WhatsApp; and (5) Have a smartphone with Android, and have internet access.

Exclusion Criteria

(1) Had a disability, auditory deficiencies, or dementiat that would interfere with the use of chatbot-based VA;(2) Are pregnant and are unwilling to be a respondent; (3) Previously received hatbot-based VA intervention
