Inclusion Criteria
Children with severe sepsis or fluid refractory septic shock who are hemodynamically unstable.
Exclusion Criteria
- Patients with uncorrected cyanotic heart disease.
- Patients with chronic hemoglobinpathies or any hematological diseases .
- Patients with decompensated chronic cardiac conditions
- Patients with chronic lung disease
- Patients referred to PICU more than 6 hours after the diagnosis of severe sepsis or septic shock
