1. Women indicated to have endometrial sampling
2. Willing to do office-endometrial sampling
3. Non pregnant
1. Hypersensitivity to lidocaine or amide type local anesthetics
2. Underlying cardiovascular disease,heart failure, arrhythmia and bradycardia.
3. Known severe renal dysfunction and impaired hepatic function.
4. History of convulsion
5. Known uterine anomaly or myoma uteri that distort uterine cavity
6. Known cervical stenosis
7. Acute cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease
8. Inability to understand how to score Visual analogue scale for pain
9. Previous endometrial biopsy
