Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Age over 18 years
- •Clinical diagnosis of extra\-facial melasma characterized by the presence of brownish hyperpigmented spots under regular illumination, with irregular borders, symmetrically distributed in body areas except the face.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1 History of post\-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and hyperchromic contact dermatitis with symptoms such as itching, stinging, burning, or local trauma before the appearance of the lesions.
- •2 Pregnant women
- •3 Patients with contraindications for skin biopsy such as a history of keloid formation or coagulation disorders
- •4\. Patients not giving consent
