Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Duration of mechanical ventilation \> 48 hrs
  • •2\.Eligible for spontaneous breathing trial(SBT)

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients with chest or abdominal trauma, abdominal surgery, distorted abdominal wall anatomy.
  • •2\.Localized fluid collections in the abdomen, abdominal wall hematomas, hernias and inguinal masses.
  • •3\.Neuromuscular weakness and diaphragmatic disorders.
  • •4\.Pneumothorax,pleural effusion.
  • •5\.Pregnanacy.
