入选标准
- •Case :Adult ( > 18 years)
- •1.Should have undergone an orthopaedic trauma surgery (with or without orthopaedic implants)
- •and should have developed clinical signs of surgical site infection, within three weeks (early in-fection) post-operatively.
- •2.Should have a positive microbial culture
- •3.Should be willing to participate in the study
- •Controls: Adult post-operative orthopaedic trauma patients with negative wound cultures and no cli-nico-radiological signs/symptoms of infection will be included as controls.
排除标准
- •Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Children (<= 18 years)
- •2.Infections beyond 3 weeks.
- •3.Culture negative patients
- •4.Acute flare up of chronic infections
- •5.Patients in renal, hepatic or cardiac failure.
- •6.Patients with congenital or acquired immunodeficient states.
- •7.Patient not willing to give consent / participate in the study
