Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Age above 60 years, but for the intervention age was restricted between 60\-80 years.
- •2\. Subjects 6 months less than 60 years of age (as they are likely to become 60 years of age during intervention period).
- •3\. Willing to participate in the study.
- •4\. Expects to remain in the area during the study period.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Subjects with severe morbidity related to bone (Such subjects were referred to hospital).
- •2\. Subjects with other illness required hospitalization.
- •3\. Subjects who were likely to move away from study area during the study period.
- •4\. Refused to participate.
- •5\. Visible severe wasting or malnourished.
- •6\. Subjects who were suffering from chronic diseases, which required therapeutic intervention.
- •1\. Subjects who were taking calcium and vitamin D supplementation or took the same in last 6 months.
- •2\. Subjects having any history of calcium stones or similar health problems.
