- •1. Age above 60 years, but for the intervention age was restricted between 60-80 years.
- •2. Subjects 6 months less than 60 years of age (as they are likely to become 60 years of age during intervention period).
- •3. Willing to participate in the study.
- •4. Expects to remain in the area during the study period.
排除标准
- •1. Subjects with severe morbidity related to bone (Such subjects were referred to hospital).
- •2. Subjects with other illness required hospitalization.
- •3. Subjects who were likely to move away from study area during the study period.
- •4. Refused to participate.
- •5. Visible severe wasting or malnourished.
- •6. Subjects who were suffering from chronic diseases, which required therapeutic intervention.
- •1. Subjects who were taking calcium and vitamin D supplementation or took the same in last 6 months.
- •2. Subjects having any history of calcium stones or similar health problems.
