Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Diagnosis of T2DM for at least 2 years,stable weight, defined as no significant change (3%) over the 3 months prior to enrollment, and evidence of stable treatment with oral hypoglycemic therapy and or insulin for at least 12 months.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with C\-peptide levels below 0\.9 ng/ml, positive anti\-glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) test, elderly patients (66 years), previous major upper abdominal surgery, pregnancy, patients with malignant or debilitating diseases, severe pulmonary or cardiac diseases, severe renal disease (glomerular \&\#64257;ltration rate below 30 ml/min), taking appetite suppressant medication, eating disorder such as bulimia or binge\-eating, and obesity due to any other endocrine disorder.
