- To evaluate the variation in the cuff pressure of tracheal tube in ICU patients with mode of ventilation.

简要总结
This is a prospective observational study comapring the variation in the tracheal tube cuff pressure with the change in mode of ventilation, position and duration in ICU. Patients either on ETT/Tracheostomised will be placed on T-piece for the first four hours and thenunder PSV for the next four hours.The position of the patients onETT with T-piece/PSV or Tracheostomised with T-piece/PSV will be changed fromsupine to non-supine or vice versa 2nd houly hourly.The cuff pressure will berecorded with a digital cuff manometer (AG- cuffill) at the starting of oneposition, at 2nd hour in the same position and immediately after the change inposition

入选标准
- •1.Age>18 years and <65 years.
- •2.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grading I-IV.
- •3.Patients admitted in the Critical Care Unit of AIIMS, Rishikesh with either ETT or TT already in place or during subsequent course of stay.
排除标准
- •1.Pre-existing chronic cardio-respiratory disease.
- •2.Obesity (BMI>30 kg/m2).
- •3.Pregnant and breastfeeding.
- •4.Refusal for consent.
- •5.Airway anatomical malformations.
- •6.Limited neck movement or neck mass.
- •7.Raised intra-abdominal pressure.
