Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Age more than 18 years
- •2\) Mechanical ventilation of at least 48 hours
- •3\) Patient should met the following criteria for readiness of weaning:
- •âžâ?Oxygenation status: FiO2 \<0\.5 with PEEP less than or equal to 8 cm H2O \& paO2/FiO2 \>200
- •âžâ?Ventilation status: Respiratory rate less than or equal to 30/min \& paCO2 of \<45 mmHg
- •âžâ?Stable hemodynamics
- •âžâ?Intact mentation
- •âžâ?Minimal secretion and effective cough
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Known Neuromuscular disorder
- •2\) Known case of diaphragmatic paralysis
- •3\) Tracheostomized patients
- •4\) Increased Intraabdominal Pressure
- •5\) Phrenic Nerve Palsy
- •6\) Obstetric antenatal patients
