Inclusion Criteria
Acute traumatic unilateral and complete tibial shaft fracture (AO classification 42-A to C) with or without an additional fibula fracture
Operative treatment with an intramedullary nail at the BG Hospital Murnau
Exclusion Criteria
further injuries of the lower extremity
neurological conditions affecting gait
BMI = 31
patient is unable to comprehend the study project
