•1Haemoglobinless than 130gm/L males
•less than 120gm/L Females
•2Sr. FerritinRaised (Male:24 to 336ng/L)
•(Female:24 to 336ng/L)
•3Sr. Iron60 to 170 micrograms per deciliter (mcg/dL),
•4TIBC Raised (240 to 450 mcg/dl)
•5Patients belonging to age group of 18 -60 years of either sex irrespective of religion, socio economic status etc.
•6Patient willing and able to participate in the study.

•1Patients with history of congenital disorders related with haemopoietic system like Leukemia and hemophilia.
•2Patients with history of other systemic diseases like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
•3Patients suffering from disorder of the GIT system associated with Gastro intestinal bleeding like colorectal malignancy, gastritis, peptic ulceration and inflammatory bowel disease.
•4Patients on chronic use of aspirin and NSAIDS.
•5Pregnant and lactating women.
•6Immunocompromised Patients-HIV.
•7Patients on prolonged medication (more than 6 weeks) with corticosteroids,or any other drugs that may have influence on the outcome of the study.
