Inclusion Criteria
Tooth with symptomatic apical periodontitis needing conventional endodontic procedure (Heft Parker-Visual Analog Scale(HP-VAS) score >54)
Exclusion Criteria
1.Systematic diseases, allergic reactions, pregnancy
2. Patients who had taken analgesics within the last 3 days
3.Non-vital tooth, sinus tract, periapical radiolucency
4. Severe periodontal disease, swelling, periodontal pockets >3mm
5. Occlusal disorders/ parafunctional habits/ smoking/ alcohol/ tobacco chewing
6. Medications for anxiety/ psychosis
