Inclusion Criteria

1. Patients aged more than 18 to less than 70 years giving informed consent to participate in the study.

2.Patients with renal stones in whom PCNL operation was indicated/necessary

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patient not consenting for inclusion in the above study.

2.Patients with pregnancy, mental disorders or illness who cannot understand or comply with the study protocol.

3.Patients in whom PCNL was contraindicated (uncorrected coagulopathy,CRF) , etc.

4.Patients with large stone burden, stone size >3cm in size, staghorn calculus, bilateral renal stone, ureteric stones and multiple renal stones needing multiple tracts

5.Patients with severe co morbidities (acute MI, bleeding diathesis, multi organ dysfunction)unfit for surgery/PCNL.
