Children who
regularly participate in Mid Day Meal Program
are apparently healthy
have no known/reported food allergies
have Haemoglobin >= 8g/dl
have weight for age (WAZ), height for age (HAZ) and/or weight for height (WHZ) >= -3 z score
have written assent and informed written consent from their parents and
willing to remain in the school and continue for the entire study duration
Children who
do not participate or are irregular to the Mid Day Meal Program
are severely anaemic with Hb <8g/dl
are severely undernourished (WAZ, HAZ and WHZ below -3 z scores)
have any chronic diseases/ other medical complications
have reported/known food allergies
are on medicines that affect mineral absorption
are participating in any other research trial and refuse to participate in the study
