1.Male or female Type 2 DM patients treated with oral hypoglycemic agents, in the age group of 18-60 years.
2.HbA1C levels of the patients should be between 6.5 to 7.0% in the last 3 months.
3.Patients having low serum magnesium levels < 1.46 mg/dL21.
4.Patient should have not participated in any other study during the past 3 months.
1.Patients who are having other conditions contraindicating for magnesium supplementation.
2.Patients who are alcoholic, suffering from chronic diarrhoea and on treatment with diuretics within 4 weeks before study initiation.
3.Pregnant and lactating women.
4.Patients who are unable to sign informed consent or unable to comply with study procedure.
