1. Chronic case ( >3months) of trapezius muscle pain
2. Age group between 18-35 years
3. Subjects were required to have neck pain of more than 3 months duration as well as active TrPs in the upper trapezius muscle
4. Patients with Neck Disability Index (NDI) score above 15/50.
5. Exclusion of ââ?¬Å?red flagsââ?¬? and nerve-root disorders.
1. Neck symptoms related to a motor vehicle collision or significant trauma (whiplash injury, h/o cervical spine surgery)
2. Signs of serious pathology (e.g.malignancy, infection, inflammatory disorder, or fracture)
3. Signs of cervical spinal cord compromise (e.g. diffuse sensory abnormality, diffuse weakness, hyperreflexia, or the presence of clonus)
4. Presence of two or more signs of nerve root involvement (e.g.dermatomal sensation changes, myotomal weakness,or diminished/absent tendon jerk reflexes)
