Inclusion Criteria
Patients above 18 years of age.
Patients undergoing total and near total thyroidectomy.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients on Calcium or Vitamin D supplementation.
Patients with pre-existing parathyroid gland diseases, hypocalcaemia, Para Neoplastic syndromes, Chronic Kidney Disease.
Patients with history of neck dissection/thyroid surgery/radiotherapy for neck/ auto transplant of parathyroid glands

Name Time Method The outcome will be measured based on the relation of Postoperative hypocalcaemia and its association with hypoparathyroidism and vitamin D deficiency.Timepoint: 5 days (to obtain pre and post operative blood test reports)
