Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •newly diagnosed patients who meet the DSM 5 criteria for depression
Exclusion Criteria
- •(i) severe comorbid conditions like diabetes, hypertension \& ischemic heart disease (ii) patients taking antidepressans in the last 6 weeks (iii) pregnant or lactating females (iv) intake of other drugs for psychosis or anxiety (v) history of substance abuse (vi) any chronic ailment or drug intake leading to depression (vii)) patients with neurological disorders such as stroke, dementia or seizures.
