Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial surgeries requiring awake nasotracheal intubation with flexible bronchoscope.
  • 2\.Patients consenting to participate.
  • 3\.Patients belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade I and II.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients with the history of obstructive sleep apnea, nasal trauma, nasal surgery, bleeding diathesis, infection of upper airway
  • 2\.Patients who are taking anti\-coagulant therapy.
  • 3\.Patients who are on anti\-hypertensives.
  • 4\.Patients in whom postoperative ventilation will be anticipated
