Inclusion Criteria
Newly diagnosed adult celiac disease patients aged >=18yrs attending the outpatient departments of Endocrinology and Gastroenterology were recruited and followed prospectively for one year
Exclusion Criteria
pregnant or expected pregnant patients, patients less than 18 years of the age, patients on other drugs that can interfere on BMD or patients with other bone diseases
