Epilepsy group: diagnosed epilepsy (all epilepsy syndroms)
Control group: healthy adult people
EPILEPSY GROUP
• physical disabilities that preclude participation in a physical stress test
• physical activity provoke epileptic seizures
• cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic or structural heart disease
o Myocardial diseases
o Heart valve disorders (moderate to severe stenosis or insufficiency)
o Congenital diseases
o Arrhythmias
o Hypertonic obstructive cardiomyopathy
• myo-, endo-, pericarditis
• cardiac surgery such as coronary angioplasty or revascularization surgery
• moderate to severe hypertension
• neurovascular or peripheral arterial disease
• angina pectoris
• severe pulmonary hypertension
• thromboembolic processes
• Blood coagulation disorders
• Taking blood thinners, such as Marcumar
• cardiac infarction
• resting blood pressure of >220/120 mmHg
• taking beta-blockers
• brain lesions
• acute feverish infections
CONTROL GROUP
• single epileptic seizure
