Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •The subjects of this study were recruited through advertisements (e.g., e\-mail, flyers, and social media) for members of Seoul National University. Eligible participants were aged 19–39 years, with a BMI over 23 kg/m2 according to Asian standards, and could use the Internet and smartphone devices. All participants gave their informed consent before enrollment. The international review board at Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, approved this study (SNU IRB NO. 2109/002\-007\).
Exclusion Criteria
- •Subjects who met the following requirements were excluded from the study.
- •1\) Those who have lost more than 10% of their weight in the last six months, those who have undergone obesity surgery, are currently taking drugs for weight loss, and those who have received other care for weight loss (e.g., personal PT, obesity management center) for more than three months
- •2\) A participant who is pregnant or has a plan to become pregnant
- •3\) Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular disease medication users
- •4\) Participant who takes medication related to severe depression, anxiety, and mental illness
- •5\) Participants with severe cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
