Registration Number

Brief Summary

**Background:** Disruption in the normal alignment of the cervical spine with respect to the trunk, acromion process and the sagittal plane, propelling the head and cervical spine forwardaway from the plumb line is termed as Forward Head Posture (FHP). This FHP creates malalignment at level of cervical spine but also impacts the weight transference of the head and cervical region to the trunk. It is suggested that attaining FHP by individuals causes various mal-alignments whether pertaining to musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory or behavioral abnormalities which may be a consequence of the adapted postures of individuals.

**Objective:** By far, there is no such study to treat various domains affected from FHP like musculoskeletal, balance, cognitive and vestibular cumulatively and comprehensively aiming to improve Cranio-vertebral angle and Quality of life of such individuals.

**Methodology:** This will be a multi-phased trial. Phase I will be a cross sectional study which will evaluate prevalence and correlation of FHP with other biomechanical lesion of the body. A total of 248 samples will be included in the study. Individuals between the age of 18 to 45 years will be recruited with the help of Purposive sampling. Phase II will be Feasibility study for protocol development and its Feasibility trial. Participants recruited in this phase will be chosen based on Purposive sampling. Phase III will be pre-test post-test Randomized Controlled trial.

**Discussion:** After the pandemic COVID-19, there have been a major increase in the risk and development of musculoskeletal ailments which are largely associated with lifestyle changes and activity cessation. This study will not only develop a treatment strategy for cases with Forward Head Posture but will also make sure that it does not stick over the Musculoskeletal discipline only. It will lead to researches being more focused over development of self-training and self-correcting strategies to combat Forward Head Posture during the initial phases of development of Forward Head Posture and will thus reduce the complications in future life.
