1. Diagnosis of schizophrenia using diagnostic criteria for research (DCR) of ICDâ??10 DCR (World Health Organization, 1993).
2. PSYRATS auditory hallucination subscale score on item frequency and duration >=2 each.
3. Right-handed.
4. Patients giving written informed consent.
1. Co-morbid neurological or any other psychiatric disorder.
2. History of substance abuse (except nicotine and caffeine).
3. History of epilepsy, significant head injury or any neurosurgical procedure.
4. Patients who have received electroconvulsive therapy in the past one month.

Name Time Method Reduction in scores of auditory hallucinations as recorded by Psychotic Symptom Rating Scale (PSYRATS) - Auditory Hallucination Sub-Scale, and Auditory hallucinations rating scale (AHRS)Timepoint: At completion of tACS sessions i.e., 1 week and at 5 weeks after the initiation of treatment
