Group A (Healthy subjects)
1.Gingival Bleeding index �10%.
2.No Clinical attachment loss (CAL) (Tonetti et al 2017)
3.Pocket Probing depth (PPD) � 3mm. (Tonetti et al 2017)
4.No radiographic Bone loss. (Tonetti et al 2017)
5.Plaque scores � 1.
Group B ( Generalized Periodontitis subjects)
1. Gingival Bleeding index more than > 10%
2. Clinical attachment loss � 1mm (Tonetti et al 2017)
3. All grades of periodontitis will be included (% of bone loss <0.25 to > 1) (Tonetti et al 2017).
4. Pocket Probing depth (PPD) > 3mm (Tonetti et al 2017).
5. Plaque scores >1.
Group A (Healthy subjetcs):
1. Pregnant and lactating females.
2. Subjects using any form of tobacco.
3. Subjects with known systemic diseases /syndromes.
4. Subjects showing recession due to causes other than induced by plaque/ calculus accumulation.
5. Subjects on any kind of systemic medication past 3 months and periodontal therapy past
6 months.
6. Subjects with nationality other than Indian.
Group B (Generalized periodontitis subjects):
1.Pregnant and lactating females.
2.Subjects using any form of tobacco.
3.Subjects with known systemic diseases /syndromes.
4.Subjects showing recession due to causes other than induced by plaque/ calculus accumulation.
5.Subjects on any kind of systemic medication past 3 months and periodontal therapy past 6 months
6.Subjects with nationality other than Indian.
