简要总结
This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effect of proprioception training on reaction time in recreational and competitive Kabaddi players. Kabaddi is a high-intensity contact sport requiring rapid movements, quick decision-making, balance, agility, and fast neuromuscular responses. Reaction time is a critical performance factor influencing both successful gameplay and injury prevention. Proprioception, the body’s ability to sense joint position and movement, plays a key role in postural control, balance, coordination, and neuromuscular efficiency, which are essential for Kabaddi performance.A total of 32 Kabaddi players aged 15–25 years will be recruited from Belagavi city and randomly allocated into two groups: an intervention group (n=16) and a control group (n=16) using the envelope method. The intervention group will receive a structured proprioception training program for 3 weeks (3 sessions/week), while the control group will receive conventional training only. Reaction time will be assessed before and after the intervention. The primary outcome measure will be reaction time assessed using the BlazePod system, a validated light-based sensor device that measures reactive speed and cognitive-motor performance (ICC: 0.83–0.88). The study aims to determine whether proprioception training significantly improves reaction time in Kabaddi players, thereby enhancing performance and reducing injury risk.
