Inclusion Criteria

  • •Inclusion Criteria:
  • •Elective abdominal surgery
  • •Between 18 and 85 years of age
  • •ASA less then 4
  • •Adequate English language skills

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Emergency surgery
  • •Allergy to local anaesthetic
  • •On regular opioid medication prior to surgery
  • •Mental handicap or psychiatric condition precluding adequate communication
