Inclusion Criteria
60 male patients,
ASA I and II,
scheduled for open unilateral inguinal hernia repair under general anaesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
were inability to consent to the study,
skin infection at the puncture site,
chest diseases,
hepatic, renal or coagulation disorders, contra-indication to any of the drugs used during the study.
