1. start of an outpatient psychotherapeutical treatment (one parent)
2. patient (parent) meets the criteria for a mental disorder according to DSM-5
3. patient is caring for at least one child between 1.5-16 years of age
1. patient or all children are already in psychotherapeutical treatment
2. patient has a severe mental disorder requiring inpatient treatment
3. severe impairment of all children requiring prompt treatment
4. patient shows continuous benzodiazepine use
5. insufficient German language skills

Name Time Method (Caregiver-)Teacher's Report Form ((C-)TRF = (preschool) teacher version of the Child Behavior Checklist, CBCL) between T2 (begin parental therapy) and T3 (end of intervention) and between T2 and T4 (6-month FU) (questionnaire completed by the (preschool) class teacher of the children)

Name Time Method Children’s and parents dimensional severity index according to the DSM-5 based clinical interview (Kinder-) DIPS (with patients and a parent about children over the age of 6) or SIVA (with a parent about children under the age of 6), semi-structured interview about knowlege about mental disorders (with parents and children over the age of 6), questionnaires: Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI: parents), children's psychopathology (parents about children), parenting skills (EFB: parents), parental stress (ESF: parents), direct and indirect costs (TiC-P: parents, FSUS-Y: parents about children), health-related quality of life in parents (EuroQol/EQ-5D-5L: parents, AQoL 8D: parents) and children (KIDSCREEN-10: parents about children and children over the age of 8). <br>Recording of these variables: T1: before waiting period, T2: before parental psychotherapy, T3: after parental psychotherapy, T4: 6 months follow-up.
