Test group
1.Women in the age group of 18-35 yrs
2.Failure to get pregnant despite regular sexual intercourse for more than 12 months
3.Having male partners with a normal semen analysis.
4.Having normal genital organs.
5.Having no pelvic pathology
6.Not receiving any infertility treatment in the past
7.Having a normal hormonal profile.
8.Having adequate follicle reserve
Control group
1.Women in the age group of 18-35 years
2.Women who have conceived naturally within 1 year of planning to conceive.
3.Women in their first trimester of pregnancy
Test Group
1.Women on infertility treatment
2.Patients who have a history of the following conditions will be excluded; hydrosalpinx, endometriosis, tubal factors, polycystic ovarian syndrome (Rotterdam criteria), inherited thrombophilia, thyroid disease, premature ovarian failure, hyperprolactinemia, autoimmune diseases, diabetes mellitus, uterine/cervical anomalies, active liver disease, cardiovascular disease, smoking and alcohol consumption, HIV-infected, obesity (body mass index >= 30 kg/m2), chronic upper respiratory tract diseases.
3.H/o of dental treatment for dental caries, periodontal treatment, or ongoing orthodontic treatment in the past 6 months
4.H/o administration of systemic antibiotics in the past 6 months
Control group
1.Women in 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy
2.Patients who have a history of the following conditions will be excluded; hydrosalpinx, endometriosis, tubal factors, polycystic ovarian syndrome (Rotterdam criteria), inherited thrombophilia, thyroid disease, premature ovarian failure, hyperprolactinemia, autoimmune diseases, diabetes mellitus, uterine/cervical anomalies, active liver disease, cardiovascular disease, smoking and alcohol consumption, HIV-infected, obesity (body mass index >= 30 kg/m2), chronic upper respiratory tract diseases.
