1.Patients who already had or needed removable dental prostheses
2.Abutment teeth were free of caries and fillings or had minor defects that did not affect the retainer wing.
3.The available bonding area solely on enamel had to be at least 30mm2.
4.Abutment teeth without periodontitis.
5.Appropriate occlusion that allowed the application of a retainer wing with a thickness of at least 0.7mm.
6.Patient commitment to attend annual recall appointments.
1.extensive fillings in the area of the bonding surface
2.too short clinical crowns with approximal insufficient dimension for the attachment connectors
