- The purpose of the screening test is to assess possible initial signs of cognitive impairment and to find indications of a potential dementia disorder. No diagnosis is made on the basis of the screening result itself. If the result is abnormal, the patient is referred to a specialist for further diagnostic clarification.

Inclusion Criteria
Full capacity to consent
According to study group:
- No cognitive impairment (MMST > 26)
- Presence of mild cognitive impairment (MCI)
- Presence of dementia at an early stage (assessment by the attending physician)
Sufficient knowledge of the German language to use the app
Exclusion Criteria
Non-existent capacity to consent
Advanced dementia (MMST < 10)
Deafness
Blindness
Motor impairments
Psychiatric illnesses (except dementia, if applicable)

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The screening test has a specificity of at least 0.90 with a sensitivity of at least 0.5.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The digital screening test shows a high level of agreement (Pearson r at least 0.7) with the existing cognitive test procedure MoCA. This test for the hypothesis r > 0.3 (r=0.3 as an irrelevant variable) can be performed with a sample size of n=42 with a statistical power of 95%.
