Inclusion Criteria
All adult SICU patients whose attendants will have consented.
Exclusion Criteria
Those less than 16 years of age or whose attendants decline to consent.
Pregnancy, acute UGIB patients, haematological malignancy, patients on chemotherapeutic agents for malignancy and patients on bone marrow stimulating agents like granulocyte colony stimulating factors (as these patients may have abnormal results related to NRBC).
