Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Vocal Quality
The vocal record of the participants will be carried out according to the Consensus Auditory-Perceptual Evaluation of Voice (CAPE-V) pre and post intervention. The CAPE-V protocol uses sustained vowels /a/ and /i/ recorded in combination with six sentences and conversational speech. A singing voice task (Music Happy Birthday”) was included in the protocol. Three blinded judges (voice researchers) will be recruited to participate in the subsequent auditory-perceptual evaluation of the choristers voices.;Acoustic parameters of the voice
A recording of the sustained vowel /é/ will be made for later acoustic analysis. Parameters relating to F0, jitter, shimmer, and harmonic-to-noise ratio (HNR) will be evaluated using VoxMetria software (CTS informática).
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Maximum phonation time
The patient will be required to produce a sustained vowel /a/, /i/ and /u/ at comfortable pitch and loudness after maximum inhalation. Subsequently, all the subjects will be asked to phonate the phonemes /s/ and /z/ as long as possible after a deep inspiration. Measurements will be repeated three times.;Forced vital capacity
The participants will be required to perform a maximum inspiration with a subsequent maximum expiration, repeating three times.
