Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Individuals aged 20 years and above who undergo postero\-lateral thoracotomy at Songklanagarind hospital were eligible for participation.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •If they had one of the following conditions, they were excluded from the study
  • •\-unable or unwilling to comply with treatment.
  • •\-had tumor invasion into the chest wall or brachial plexus.
  • •\-presented with a PPC prior to randomization
  • •\-remain ventilated for longer than 48 hours following surgery
  • •\-repeated thoracic surgery
  • •\-underwent pneumonectomy
  • •\-thoracic deformity such as kyphosis and scoliosis
  • •\-shoulder joint stiffness
  • •\-brachial plexus injury
