Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Inclusion criteria
  • •1\.Treatment naïve patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue
  • •2\.T1\-T4 staged disease
  • •3\.Patients who will undergo definitive surgical management
  • •4\.Age greater than or equal to 18 years

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Exclusion criteria
  • •1\.Patients having any history of mental illness (depression, anxiety, etc) and currently taking medication for the same
  • •2\.Patients taking any form of week or strong opioid analgesics as per the WHO pain scale ladder, for a period greater than 1 week
  • •3\.Patients having a history of other diseases and conditions where taste sensation is disturbed such as Sjogrenâ??s syndrome, radiotherapy, etc.
  • •4\.Patients who have had COVID\-19 previously
  • •5\.Patients who do not know how to read English, Hindi or Marathi
  • •6\.Patients with trismus and with ankyloglossia
