Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •patients of either gender
- •age group 18\-60 years
- •weight between 40\-80 kg
- •Herpetic neuralgia of 14days to 3months duration
- •Patients should have had atleast 14 days of trial of conventional medical therapy
- •VAS scores of the patient \>6 at anytime in 24 hours for justification of intervention
- •Patients with thoracic or lumbar herpes zoster
Exclusion Criteria
- •Those refusing to participate in study
- •Severe cardiac or respiratory diseases
- •Allergic to test drug or local anaesthetics Severe hepatic impairment
- •Bleeding disorders (Bleeding time, Clotting time will be undertaken)
- •Patients on therapeutic anti coagulants
- •Local site infection
