Haemoglobin levels = 11.9 g/dl and > 8 g/dl
1.Raised CRP levels greater than 10.0 mg/dl
2.Adolescents who have had malaria within 6 weeks prior to the enrollment
3.Adolescents with Vitamin B12 levels below 200 pg/mL
4.Adolescents with folic acid level less than 3 ng/mL
5.Adolescents with concurrent heart, liver or renal conditions and malignancy, self-reported bleeding disorder or haemoglobinopathy.
6.Adolescents where parents refuse consent or child refuses assent
7.Adolescents with self-reported cases of drug reactions, chronic infections, autoimmune diseases, malignancy, tuberculosis etc.
