- •gestational age 36 weeks or more; nulliparity; singleton; cephalic presentation; cervical dilatation 3-5 cm (active phase of labor).
- •Exclusion criteria: diabetes; preeclampsia; cardiac or kidney diseases; intrauterian fetal death; chorioamnionitis; meconium in amniotic fluid; fetal distress.
