- •Patients who visit Ramathibodi ED with suspected sepsis and acute respiratory failure defined by at least one of these: respiratory rate > 25, SpO2 <90, PaO2-to-FiO2 ratio <300 or clinical presentation of respiratory distress (such as accessory muscles use or abdominal paradox)
排除标准
- •1. Patients needed for immediate intubation
- •2. Patients presented with cardiac arrest
- •3. Patients who referred from other department or hospital with high-flow nasal cannula or noninvasive ventilation
- •4. Patients with a do-not-intubate order
- •5. Patients on home positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy
