Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Written informed consent for participation in study.
  • •Age: 40yrs\-75yrs.
  • •Either gender.
  • •ASA physical status I, II and III.
  • •Patients undergoing opthalmic sugeries under peribulbar anaesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Refusal of consent.
  • •Baseline heart rate \<60/min.
  • •Hypovolemia with systolic blood pressure \<90mmhg.
  • •Chronic respiratory illness.
  • •Difficult intubation.
  • •Mobitz type II or type III AV block.
  • •Chronic renal failure.
  • •Hepatic impairement.
  • •Psychiatric illness.
  • •Hypertension
